Facilities and Accommodation
Camp Goodenough can comfortably cater for up to 178 guests in dormitory-style accommodation.

We are located in a naturally regenerating rainforest on the caldera of the Tweed Valley approximately 15 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport.
​
There is a large paved area located outside the dining room suitable for active games. (e.g. basketball, skipping, handball etc).
​
There is also a playing field that can be used for a variety of different purposes or activities.
​
Our Multi-Purpose Hall is located central to all accommodation and facilities. The Hall can be used for night time activities. It is equipped with data projector, screen, sound system, dvd, set top box and bluetooth audio.

The Dining Room can comfortably seat all guests with a separate area for Teacher/leaders. The dining room can also be used as an additional night time activities area as it is also equipped with projector, screen, sound system, dvd and bluetooth audio.
​
Clean and functional bathroom and toilet facilities are provided. There are toilet facilities strategically located around the property as well as at the main buildings of the camp.
​
Teacher/ Supervisor rooms are located adjacent to student rooms for ease of supervision and are fully ensuited for convenience.
Catering
Camp Goodenough is a fully catered camp. We aspire to provide fresh nutritious meals to assist them while in the outdoors and working through all the activities. We encourage everyone to eat well balanced meals through fruit, vegetables, salad, protein and carbohydrates for energy.

All meals are included in the package commencing with Morning Tea on the day of arrival through to and including Lunch on the day of departure. Meals included for a full day consist of Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner. At each meal seconds are offered to satisfy larger appetites.

Our menu caters for and covers the majority of dietary and allergy related needs. We have also designed specific menus for guests that require the special catering considerations (subject to advice provided prior to arrival). These include
Coeliac, Vegetarian, Lactose Intolerant, Nut, Egg, Soy, Seafood Allergy, Halal. (See FAQ for more details)

All plates, cutlery and cups are supplied for use during your stay. As part of our “Life Skills” and “Self Reliance” development, all guests are responsible for washing, drying and returning the items at the conclusion of each meal.

All our staff have undergone training in Allergy Awareness & Allergens. We also have a qualified Food Safety Supervisor onsite and are subject to regular ongoing inspections from local authorities to ensure we are operating in accordance with regulations.
