ACTIVITIES

Activity and Camp outcomes focus on the development of personal characteristics in individuals and promote valuable life skills such as Communication Skills, Co-operation, Team Work, Self Confidence, Personal Development, Self Discipline/ Self Reliance, Problem Solving.

All activities are conducted on-site at Camp Goodenough and have been the subject of our ongoing and comprehensive Risk Management Evaluation and Operational Procedures which ensures a safe and conducive environment to achieve the learning outcomes for each of the activities.

The unique nature and design of our activities enables maximum engagement levels and reduces downtime for participants.

Activities are generally conducted over a 2hr 15min session to enable experiential growth to occur. Each child is encouraged to extend him/herself to do their very best. 

Archery

ARCHERY

Our archery range is located with views from the picturesque Piggabeen Valley to the ocean. Participants attempt  to better themselves with the knowledge they receive in the skill of Archery.

Billy Carts

BILLY CARTS

Our Billy Carts have proven to be a great activity to develop team work and problem solving skills.

Groups are supplied with all the components, tools and a comprehensive set of assembly instructions.

Crate Stack

CRATE STACK

Teams work together to stack as many crates as possible in their allocated time.  The trick is, you have to climb them as you do it and maintain your balance without the crates toppling over.

GIANT’S PLAYGROUND

Our purpose built “Giant’s Playground” is a series of vertical climbing challenges on our 15m pole structure.

Three different levels over 10 different climbs are available to suit all levels of capabilities.

Giant Swing

GIANT SWING

Participants are challenged to develop trust in the safety equipment and build confidence to release themselves on our Giant Swing.

High Ropes

HIGH ROPES

Located on the side of the hill, participants commence the activity at ground level and gradually work their way through the multiple elements amongst the pine trees to a height of 8 metres.

Indoor Climbing

INDOOR CLIMBING

Our Indoor Climbing wall is a 6m high single pitch wall setup with 5 different climbs graded from easy through to hard.

Leap Of Faith

LEAP OF FAITH

Our unique 8 station Leap of Faith activity challenges participants to build confidence and trust as they attempt to climb and jump off the structure with heights ranging from 4m up to 12m.

Obstacle Course

OBSTACLE COURSE

Our course consists of a series of obstacles that participants climb over and through as either individuals or part of a team.

Prusiking

PRUSIKING

Prusiking is a climbing technique used to ascend a rope (reverse of abseiling).  Using a harness and rope equipment students attempt to climb up a rope to the height of 10 metres.

Team Pursuits - Planking It

TEAM PURSUIT

Red and Blue teams read a set of instructions and attempt to solve each challenge before the other team. Failure to read the instructions and plan as a team will cause penalties or loss of the challenge.
